Young Israel of Elkins Park is a growing, warm, Torah-focused community with Jews from diverse backgrounds. YIEP is a close-knit shul where members support each other to continue learning and growing in Yiddishkeit. There is a beautiful mikvah in the building and a large eruv serves the community.
YIEP is privileged to be led by Rabbi Reuven Goldstein, who is always available to answer questions and provide guidance.
The shul is blessed with Torah learning of the highest caliber. Dynamic learning opportunities, chavrusas, and shiurim are offered for all levels.
In addition to meaningful davening daily, on Shabbat and on Yomim Tovim, our community greatly enjoys our periodic Shabbatons and energetic family-focused celebrations on Chanukah, Purim, and Simchat Torah and many other programs during the year. Our many young families and children also come together for talent shows, other events and festivities.
YIEP is affiliated with the National Council of Young Israel and the Orthodox Union.
